Special Recruitment Drive 2025-001 Advertisement DF-1-2025

Applications are invited from Indian nationals coming from reserved categories (SC, ST, OBC, EWS and PwD (VH, OH, HH)) under unique recruitment drive for the post of Assistant Professor in the Departments of Aerospace Engineering, Biological Sciences and Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, employment Cognitive Science, Computer Science and Engineering, Design, Earth Sciences, Economic Sciences, Electrical Engineering, Humanities and Social Sciences, Management Sciences, Materials Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, employment Mathematics and Statistics, Physics, Space, Planetary & Astronomical Sciences & Engineering (SPASE), Sustainable Energy Engineering, and Kotak School of Sustainability.

Several Departments likewise participate in the teaching and research activities of interdisciplinary post-graduate programs in the institute in Photonics Science and employment Engineering and Materials Science Program. Appointments for these programs are made in the relevant departments amongst those noted above.

Minimum Qualification (Assistant Professor): Ph.D. with first class or equivalent (in terms of grades, etc) at the preceding degree in the proper branch, with an excellent scholastic record in all preceding degrees. For a fresh Ph.D, the position will be on contract basis for the first three years, and can be regularized afterwards. For those with three or more years of post-PhD teaching/research/industrial experience, regular visit can be made.

The Institute follows appointment in direct recruitment based on the arrangements of the Central Educational Institutes (Reservation in Teachers’ Cadre) Act, employment 2019. The existing unique drive ad is to fill 56 backlog jobs in reserved classifications till 31st December 2024.

Other details:

1. The pay brings all other allowances as permissible to a Central Civil servant stationed at Kanpur.

2. The benefits, such as LTC, medical re-imbursement, transport allowance, kids education allowance, contribution towards New Pension System (NPS), re-imbursement of telephone expenses, book grants, HRA (if real estate not provided), research study initiation grant (as much as Rs 25 lakhs with the arrangement to look for a supplemental grant) and monetary assistance towards nationwide and worldwide conferences shall be allowed based on the Institute standards.

3. From its internal resources, the Institute offers an additional top-up salary of Rs 25,000/- per month for the very first three years of service to the recently signed up with faculty members. After 3 years of service, the faculty member(s) are eligible for consideration for Young Faculty Fellowship (open for faculty of age upto 40 years) providing a top-up salary of Rs.15,000/- each month for 3 years, and/or Faculty Chair positions supplying a top-up income of Rs 25,000/- per month for three years. Both the positions are provided based upon performance.

4. Traveling allowance for joining: employment The Institute will reimburse global travel expenses for the newly signed up with faculty member and reliant household members to the maximum limitation of Rs. 1,50,000. Domestic travel reimbursement will be based on federal government rules.

5. The Institute makes every effort to offer housing to all professors members. The homes are equipped with totally free high-speed internet.

6. Mere eligibility will not entitle a prospect for being required interview.

7. Applicants who do not satisfy the minimum experience requirements might be used an appointment on contract. The requirements of minimum certification and/or may be relaxed when it comes to candidates with outstanding credentials.

8. The Institute follows the reservation in direct recruitment as per the arrangements of the Central Educational Institutes (Reservation in Teachers’ Cadre) Act, 2019. The prospects are required to send the Caste/ Category/ Disabilities Certificate provided by the Competent Authority in the format prescribed by the Government of India for this purpose. 11. Applicants called for and appearing in interview will be paid to and employment fro economy air fare/train fare by the fastest route (within India) and taxi fare from Lucknow airport to IITK and back.
